Laserworld PM 1800RGB Laser (Pure Micro Series)

Well, I never thought I would see the day that I actually owned a professional laserworld laser, after seeing the youtube video from Frankfurt showcasing the Laserworld PM-1800RGB Laser I was sold, the colours are so bright, the animation and text so smooth and best of all the unit fits in the palm of your hand.

This is one laser that blows the rest out of the water for the price… £3499.00 + Software

One thing to note with this laser is that you need some kind of ILDA software to operate the unit, the PM-1800RGB is NOT a plug and play unit. I opted for Phoenix Show Controller Live version 4.0, the software is silky, I can’t really give you more information than that as I am still learning how to use it.

HK Audio – CT 118 Sub – Passive 1000Watts RMS

Hi Guys, I am so pleased to say that after much deliberation I have decided to take the plunge and buy two HK Audio CT 118 Passive Subs. The subs come from HK’s Concert range and I can deffo say that the size of this for an 18″ subwoofer is amazing. I am going to crank these up tomorrow with a good old beefy amp (A PL4) and see how they run, reviews over the internet have been very good and so I will add my own review tomorrow.

In the next couple of weeks though I am going to order two new amps, the amp I have chosen to drive the tops is a Crown Amp (Xti 2002) and the amp for the subs is going to be a Crown Xti 6002. With the built in active crossover and other toys in the Xti amps only then will I hear the true potential of the HK Subs.

This is going to be one of my highest expections for a review.

Studiomaster VPX15 Active 15″ PA Sub Woofer

I have been meaning to post about this active sub for some time now and have never gotten round to it. The Studiomaster VPX15 Active sub is really something to behold. It has a 15″ bass driver and really does go down low, for the money and price bracket I have not really heard anything better. It sells out for around £349.00 and for a 600 watt powered sub which is lightweight, portable and easily fits in the boot of a small car I don’t think its bad.

It is ideal for bands, dj’s or solo artists who just want to add that extra depth to their soundstage.

New HK Linear 5 – Active Speaker System

I am so excited – Just had first preview of the new HK Audio, Linear 5 Active Speaker System in our demo room. I was going to buy the QSC system – 2 x 1000 watt active tops (K12′s) and 2 x 1000 watt active bins (KSub’s) but…. that is now on hold after seeing the HK kit, I can truely say it rocks, the sub goes lower than the QSC, it also sounds tighter, the same can be said for the tops – bright and puncy. L5112FA – The 12″/1″ fullrange top delivers the most powerful bass performance in its class. It also sports an asymmetrical horn (60° x 90° x 55°) tuned to optimize sound dispersion.
